In 2023, we proudly became Independent Producers for Aarong, Bangladesh’s leading lifestyle brand and a pioneer in ethical craftsmanship. This partnership was a milestone for Dottypix, affirming our belief that design should empower people and respect both craft and community.
The Aarong Connection
Since 1978, Aarong has been uplifting rural artisans, creating opportunities that have transformed countless lives. As the retail arm of BRAC, the world’s largest NGO, Aarong’s profits directly support vulnerable communities worldwide. A member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), Aarong has set a powerful example of what it means to weave integrity into design.
Our time as Independent Producers for Aarong allowed us to stand firmly within this ethos. While Dottypix was not directly certified, our partnership meant that we proudly followed Fair Trade principles in every step of our production.
Carrying the Principles Forward
Today, Dottypix designs and makes all of our products here in the UK. While our production has shifted, our commitment has not. The values we embraced in Bangladesh continue to shape how we work: celebrating craftsmanship, respecting the hands that make, and building objects with care for both people and planet.
